What is Your Website Development Purpose?

Every website needs a purpose and the purpose needs to be clear for your website to obtain goals.  These goals are different and could be to:

  • Show case your services
  • Give pricing about your products and/or services
  • Sell products on-line
  • Give testimonials about your products and/or services
  • Build your brand name
  • To advise customers where to purchase your products and/or services

Show Case your Services

What is your website purpose?  Your website is an opportunity to advise prospective customers about your services.  You want to advise of the problems that you can solve and the solution you have.  You want to be clear about the benefits and why they should come to your business.

Give Pricing About Your Products and/or Services

If your products and services can be purchased on-line then you will want to give pricing about those products and services.  Consider selling a gift card or voucher as a gift, so that the gift receiver can select their own products and/or services.

If you want your customers to contact you about pricing, then advise them on your website to contact you through a Contact page, a phone number or both.

Sell Products Online

What is your website purpose?  If your product can be purchased on-line and can be delivered safely to anywhere in your country, then you may want to consider an Ecommerce website.  You can list all your products and have your sales linked to a reputable on-line payment portal such as Paypal.  Ensure you include all the costs for the purchase in the purchase price such as packaging, delivery, insurance and payment portal costs.  Don’t list these costs separately as customers will question them.

Give Testimonials about your Products and/or Services

Your website can be used to showcase your customer testimonials.  Please include the name of your customer and a photo of them.  Even better, set up a video and have them talk about why they purchased the product and/or service and the benefits they receive.

For your website to be successful, you need to be clear about the goals that you want your website to achieve.
