A – Ads can be used in Facebook, Google and other Social Media Marketing accounts to target customers that are not following your profile or page.  The Ad will appear in front of people that are like your targeted audience.

B – Business pages can be developed in Facebook from your personal profile.  It is recommended that you fill in as much information as possible to allow for Search Engine Optimisation.

C – Calls to action must be on all Social Media posts to ensure they are more effective – the customer needs to know what you want them to do.

D – Digg

Digg is a social news website that allows members to submit and vote for articles.

E – Endorsements are a feature of Linked in where people can endorse others for your skills.  If people endorse you they will expect an endorsement back.  Therefore, there is not much credibility with endorsements on Linked in.

F – Facebook

F – Facebook is the number 1 Social Media tool in the world with 15 million Australians actively using Facebook.  If your customers are using Facebook, then you should be posting and advertising on Facebook to inform them about your goods and services.

G – Google Analytics is a fantastic tool to measure the effectiveness of social media posts and advertisements.  All the other analytical tools use Google Analytics for the basis of their data.

H – Hootesuite is a tool used to post social media to many accounts.

I – Instagram

I – Instagram is a Social Media tool that posts images for your followers and has 9 million monthly active users (www.socialmedianews.com.au).

J – Just cannot think of anything starting with J (sorry).

K – Klout is a measure of social influence with a rating out of 100.

L – Linked in

L – Linked in is a professional tool that shares the contents of your Resume with 467 million registered users world-wide.  Linked in can also be used to find customers to sell your products and services to.

M – Myspace is a music focused social networking site for blogs, groups, personal profiles, pictures and videos.

N – Native advertising looks like a regular post and can be used on Facebook.

O – Owly

O – Owly is a URL service used by Hootsuite to shorten website addresses on posts.

P – Photoshop is a great tool for developing images with calls to action to be included in your Social Media posts.

Q – Qantcast is a tool for measuring website traffic and demographics.

R – Reddit

R – Reddit allows you to submit and vote for content.

S – StumbleUpon is an intelligent social networking platform that discovers content and recommends it to users.

T – Twitter

T – Twitter delivers short and sharp Tweets to followers and you can include video.

U – User generated content are posts made by users which includes blogs, photos and quotes.

V – Viber allows you to communicate in more than 30 languages with text and voice messaging.

W – Wikipedia

W – Wikipedia states “Social Media are computer-mediated technologies that facilitate the creation and sharing of information, ideas, career interests and other forms of expression via virtual communities and networks”.

W – WhatsApp has 5,000,000 active Australian users according to www.socialmedianews.com.au.

X – Xray eyes are needed to see what is going on behind social media posts to review the data and find out what your customers are interested in.

Y – You Tube

Y – You Tube is used to store and access videos which can be shared in Social Media.

Z – Zap is a software program that connects apps and allows users to automate tasks.
